An international front-line journalist who recently rescued himself and a group of Ukrainians from Irpin from shelling by the Russian occupiers has already received official accreditation from the Armed Forces. He returned to Irpin to report on the war in Ukraine. Adnan Can Atayturkmen, a journalist with the pan-Arab British TV channel AlAraby TV, informs the National Union of Journalists of Ukraine.
“We all burst into tears at the Ukrainian checkpoint” – on March 8, after four tense days in Irpin, Adnan and his cameraman Habib were able to reach Kyiv. NUJU told the story of brave journalists, whose PRESS car headed the evacuation convoy, headed for the occupiers and was able to bring 20 civilians out of blocked Irpin. Adnan was constantly in contact with the NUJU hotline staff, who advised the film crew on security issues. And the head of the Ukrainian Union of Journalists Sergiy Tomilenko informed about the extraordinary event with international journalists from the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Ministry of Defense.

Today, Adnan is working with his cameraman in the Kyiv region, returning to Irpin to cover the evacuation from the blocked city.
