The woman lives not far away from Soledar. The military from the Kharkiv Region, who are currently fighting in the hottest spots of the front, helped deliver the newspaper here. The soldiers visit the woman from time to time to bring food and comfort her with some conversation, so they also brought the Ukrainian newspaper.
Alla Olkhova does not lose her cheerful spirit despite the hellish conditions she is now in.
“God is with me and you, boys as well, so I am not afraid. I will survive,” says the woman to the Ukrainian military. And she adds: “Thank you, boys, for such a priceless gift. I haven’t held a newspaper for so long. I will read everything, because it is a thread leading to a peaceful life.”
