Experienced journalists, advertisers, and PR specialists help future media professionals studying at the University of Customs and Finance to gain experience.
“We willingly accept students for practice. It is very interesting, important, and responsible – to share experience, knowledge, and professional skills with young people,” says Natalia Nazarova, the coordinator of the Dnipro-based Journalists’ Solidarity Center.
Dariya Pohudo, a fourth-year student, has joined the team of the Journalists’ Solidarity Center of the National Union of Journalists of Ukraine (NUJU). She is currently working on the preparation of materials about student volunteers. She was inspired to write such stories by what she heard from the media professional during the a “roundtable” dedicated to Journalist Volunteers.
“Today, everyone in their place holds the front with dignity and strength. And volunteers often become heroes of journalist materials. Among Dariya’s acquaintances, there are also many people who are worth talking about. We outlined the topics and issues that need to be revealed. I’m sure it will be interesting to read!” notes Nazarova.
The regional organization of the Union, the Center has been based on since July 2022, closely cooperates with Dnipro educational institutions, where future journalists are trained.
