Lina Kushch, the First Secretary of the National Union of Journalists of Ukraine (NUJU), who together with the team was involved in the launch of the first three centers – in Lviv, Ivano-Frankivsk and Chernivtsi – will now manage the entire network (three more centers are located in Kyiv, Zaporizhzhia, and Dnipro).
Lina Kushch plans to implement long-term decisions as a manager:
1. Training events on the safety of journalists, providing first aid, development of recommendations based on the practical experience of the great war.
2. Measures to improve the qualification and competitiveness of journalists.
3. Assistance in the resumption of media work and the launch of new media projects, especially in the de-occupied regions. Support for media companies focusing on occupied territories.
4. Operation of the Centers as co-working spaces for journalists, providing electricity and Internet connection as well as computer equipment.
5. Psychological support of journalists. Assistance in the adaptation of displaced journalists.
6. Attention to gender equality and inclusion during the implementation of work in all fields.
