The Zaporizhzhia Journalist Solidarity Center has received an electric current generator, which is needed for the work of journalists during power outages, from UNESCO with the assistance of the National Union of Journalists of Ukraine (NUJU).
“Thanks to the generator here, at the Journalist Solidarity Center, we will be able to hold our events in any situation. We are very grateful to the NUJU and UNESCO, who provided all journalist solidarity centers and some editorial offices with these generators. I think they will be of great help to us,” says coordinator of the center Valentyna Manzhura.
As earlier reported, the Journalist Solidarity Centers are an initiative of the NUJU, which is implemented with the support of the International and European Federations of Journalists, as well as UNESCO. They are designed to help media representatives working in Ukraine during the war. The centers operate in Kyiv, Lviv, Ivano-Frankivsk, Chernivtsi, Zaporizhzhia, and Dnipro and provide journalists with organizational, technical, legal, psychological, and other types of assistance.
